Director of Finance –

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

Ravensbourne is growing! We have an ambitious target to double our student numbers over five years and are investing in our digital future. The director of finance is a key member of the executive, reporting to the vice chancellor. You will lead the short, medium and long-term financial strategy to support our growth and development, at the same time providing a sound annual budget supported by good management information. You are also responsible for statutory financial reporting and all aspects of internal audit with a small specialist financial team to support you.

The challenges for the finance director involve building on the established relationships between finance and key stakeholders, and offering sound commercial advice and intelligent decision support. As Ravensbourne develops and grows, it is crucial that the finance director takes a significant role in increasing revenue generation from commercial activities.

You will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record of delivering a high-quality finance function. Whilst it is by no means a pre-requisite, any candidates with higher education, media or relevant not for profit experience are encouraged to apply. You must also be able to demonstrate an empathy towards the culture and the associated challenges that come with working within a regulated environment. Interpersonally, it is crucial that you possess a calm and confident management and communication style and are looking for and expecting a post that will challenge you from day one.
